A collaboration between drummer Pete Pearson and husband and wife team Simon & Candy Holmes.
Pete & Simon are old colleagues from the successful Nottingham band Joker. During this alliance they played at Nottingham’s main venue, Rock City and also graced the stage in support of Walter Trout at St Helen’s Opera House, with guitarist Alan Crawford.
Shinkicker play the Irish Blues Rock of Rory Gallagher.
An acoustic session is usually a feature of our sets but gigs can be tailored, depending on the appropriate demands of the audience/venue.
The band have enjoyed performing their Rory Gallagher Show at various venues and particularly at the Newark Blues Festival for several years. It is also a delight to appear in the promotional video for the twice yearly Swanage Blues Festival!

Simon Holmes: Electric & Acoustic Guitars, Mandolin & Vocals
Simon has been playing guitar since his school years. He names his early influences as Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton with inspiration also coming from Richard Thompson, Albert Lee & too many others to name.
Candy Holmes: Bass Guitar & Vocals
Candy after only starting to play the Bass in 2004 is already a veteran on the circuit. She has played at pubs, clubs, rallies & festivals all over the UK & Europe.
Pete Pearson: Drums, Percussion & Vocals
Pete started in the 1970’s band Zoot Allors featuring Kevin Thorpe (Out Of The Blue & Tipping Point) & was signed to Decca!
More recently with the Alan Crawford Band & rock band Twisted.
Candy & Simon are also in The Solution (rock/pop classics & Smokin' (classic rock) Peter also plays with Borderline (country blues)
